Dear Sir/Madam:

We have operated a Financial Management and Bookkeeping service for the last ten years. I also teach computers and Simply Accounting based software. In particular, I have taught Simply accounting at Compu College School of Business and have had various experiences at installing and operating Simply accounting, Accpac Plus, Accpac 2000, QuickBooks and Excel in various types of businesses. I am a licensed user.

The majority of my clients are in the service center field and I am well versed in this area. I have worked in the business area in various situations. Some of these situations have been in the complete designing of an accounting system, budgeting system, training of staff, bookkeeping services, etc. I have always enhanced my clients financial operations.

During my business career I have held several Management positions and I can work as part of a Management Team or as an Independent Manager reporting directly to the Owners or Board of Directors. I have supervised anywhere from two staff to about fifty staff. I was also the Controller for a medium size manufacturing company for several years and I am well versed in Job costing and how it relates to payroll and the manufacturing environment. I am well-versed in Financial Analysis and Budgeting and how important timely and accurate Financial Reporting is to a business. I am a firm believer in cash flow forecasts, budgeting and where the position of the business will be three months, six months , nine months and one year from now. I preach this doctrine to each business that I become involve with. Many of my clients use project costing in their accounting system and reporting.

I am the accountant for St Vincent De Paul Society and the Assistant Manager/ Accountant for the Glenshiel Housing Society. In my daily routine, I am always communicating and problem solving with Staff, Residents, several Executive Directors and Executive Committees in charge of various Organizations.

I am a Simply Accounting Solution specialist and have been the Accountant and have provided a range of accounting, payroll and bookkeeping services for several companies. In addition to the clients above , these have included Military Family Resource Center, Esquimalt Neighborhood House, Island Deaf and Hard at Hearing, Fairfield Community Center , Life Cycles, Burton Construction and Capital Janitorial Services.

I also prepare the accounting files and Financial statements for the Auditor and I am well versed in WCB, GST,PST, Payroll remittances and Payroll matters.

I am a member of the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and hold a Associate Diploma from the Canadian Institute of Bankers. I have taken courses up to the fifth level of the Certified Management Program.
